Malayer, a village located in northwest Persia, and the surrounding villages produced some of the most decorative Persian village weavings. This rug was hand-knotted by skilled weavers using 100% wool and boasts a bold pattern woven with stylized floral forms woven in varying shades of apricot, navy, sage, fawn and ivory. Borders are complex with multiple stylized geometric floral and leaf patterns. Condition is good with ends intact and distinct design. Professionally cleaned.
