Circa 1920, an eye catching antique handmade wool Persian Qashqai rug. This piece was hand-knotted by the Qashqai tribe, pastoral nomads who have long been recognized as skilled and prolific weavers in Southwest Iran. Exquisitely intricate geometric and floral design in earthy reds, browns, ivory and persimmon. Low pile. Overall condition good. Beautifully mellowed with age.
