Antique Persian Borchalu

It’s a family affair…This antique Persian Borchalu rug was hand-knotted Circa 1920 in the SW Hamadan Province of Iran by nomadic tribes living in remote areas.  Weaving was usually done by the women of the tribes who educated their daughters in the age-old craft, passing down this art form from generation to generation.  These rugs were predominately woven in long narrow shapes and are recognized for their complex floral designs. This rug has a saturated color palette of reds, ivory, gold, blue and black.  Condition is very good. G210-9747
