Caucasian flatweaves are known for their dominant geometric compositions handed down from previous generations and can include ancient pre-Christian motifs and symbols as well as folkloric charms. This piece was hand-woven in the Baku region circa 1930. Woven in an earth tone palette of chocolate browns, persimmon and ivory with repeating geometric motifs throughout. Great size could be used in entry, hall, bedroom, study, office, etc. Good condition. Truly one of a kind!
